Why Great American? Since 1975, we have helped schools and organizations earn more than $5 billion in profits, we at Great American have never lost our primary focus: helping kids. With campaigns that raise millions of dollars every year—including magazine fundraisers, cookie dough fundraisers, discount card fundraisers and quality gift brochure fundraisers—we still find our greatest joy in supporting the organizations in our communities that are changing lives. Including groups like yours.
Our History: To complement an experienced team of Great American “Veterans” that have built the company from the beginning, Great American has blended the experience of sales people and management resources from many of the most well known companies in fundraising. As a result we have grown dramatically in recent years. This growth is a testament to the committed people that care about serving our schools, their customers, and one another.
Top salespeople from America’s Lemonade Stand (formerly IFS) joined the company in 2007, the talented Kathryn Beich Sales Team was acquired in 2008, along with the great brand and tradition of Kathryn Beich Confections. In 2012 Great American became even stronger with the acquisition of QSP, another well-respected fundraising company.
Since our inception, experienced veteran representatives from companies like QSP, Lemonade Stand, Kathryn Beich, Henco, Nasco, NCS, Sally Foster, Century Resources, and Red Apple have chosen to continue their careers at Great American…
Why? Because at Great American…the “Opportunities” are tremendous…for the schools we serve, and as a result, for the sales and management team that supports them.
We look forward to the opportunity of serving your school. We invite you to contact us today so that we can make that possible!
Our Heritage: Founded in 1975, Great American is part of The Southwestern Company, a cornerstone of the Nashville community and the oldest direct selling company in America. Since 1855 Southwestern has lived out its motto “Building Character in Young People”, through allowing America’s best and brightest college students an opportunity to learn personal selling and business management skills through our summer internship program.
Every summer dating back to the late 1800’s, several thousand students fan out across the country selling books, educational software and learning resources. These students utilize skills earned in their summers at Southwestern to reach successful careers at the top levels of corporate, government and entrepreneurial businesses alike.
